What does "Missing TB Test in US" mean?

2 min. readlast update: 02.05.2024

Your account is missing a Tuberculosis (TB) test from the United States. There are two types of tests for TB infection: the TB skin test and the TB blood test. Your school requires it to be done in the US, so if you uploaded a test and your account was tagged with "Missing TB Test in US" this means your previously uploaded TB test was done outside of the United States and your school will not accept it. Please schedule a TB test in the United States.

The TB skin test is also called the Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST). A TB skin test requires two visits with a health care provider. TB blood tests are also called interferon-gamma release assays or IGRAs. A health care provider will draw a patient's blood and send it to a laboratory for analysis and results.

You can have this done at your healthcare provider's office or a lab.
