UW HSIP- Rejected HepB Titer Incorrect

1 min. readlast update: 03.13.2025

Your Hepatitis B titer submission was rejected because you submitted the incorrect HepB titer. You submitted one of the following incorrect HepB titers:

  • A Hepatitis B Core Antibody (HBcAb) titer- used to diagnose current or resolved HepB infection and not for verifying immunity.

  • A Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) titer - used for diagnosing HepB infection and not for verifying immunity.

  • A Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) DNA titer - used for the detection of HBV-DNA and not for verifying immunity.

The correct HepB titer is the Quantitative Hepatitis BSurface Antibody (QN-HBsAb) titer. This titer must be completed at least one month AFTER your fully completed HepB vaccine series. Please have your provider order the correct titer for verifying immunity and submit a full lab report for approval.
