You have submitted an MMR vaccine dose that was given less than 28 days from a submitted Varicella vaccine dose. Both MMR and Varicella are live vaccines. Live vaccines must be administered either on the same day or 28 days apart otherwise they can interfere with building immunity. Your MMR vaccine dose therefore may not have been effective in building immunity.
To meet the requirement, you will need to do one of the following:
- Receive an additional dose of MMR that is 28 days apart from your live vaccines.
- Get antibody titers to verify immunity through IgG titer for MMR (all three components are required: Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. If negative, indicating you do not have immunity, then an additional vaccination would be required.
Please note that live vaccines (MMR and Varicella) can also interfere with TB screening results, so we recommend completing your TB screening prior to any live vaccines OR completing your TB screening at least 28 days after a live vaccine.
