UWParam- Subsequent HepB Non-Responder

1 min. readlast update: 12.16.2025

You have submitted documentation of two Hepatitis B vaccine series followed by a non-reactive HepB Surface Antibody Titer. This indicates that you do not have immunity to Hepatitis B and may be a non-responder.

You now need to complete a Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Titer  to verify you do not have a past or present Hepatitis B infection. Depending on the test results, your provider will need to complete ONE of the following:

  • NEGATIVE Antigen titer – This would indicate you are a non-responder to the Hepatitis B vaccine.

  • POSITIVE Antigen Titer – This would indicate a possible past or present Hepatitis B infection.
